Red Dot Sights

May 17, 2012 Category :Rifle Bipods 0

OK, so I’m thinking about going for an Ultimak and micro Red Dot Sight set-up. Two questions: 1. Would you go with the Bushnell TRS-25 or Primary Arms Micro? They seem priced about the same at around $100. 2. Do any of these red dots return to zero (or close to zero) if you remove them? I want the option of running a magnified Rifle scope off my side rail from time to time. If go with the ultimak / Red Dot Sight setup, am I just stuck with that as my only optic? wes1

I honestly hadn’t thought of contacting EOTech – I will do just that. Also, to note- the original “finish” on the underside of the batter compartment (the part that detaches) has since completely detached. This was rather recently (remember, this is a 5 year old sight)- I had pulled it apart and noticed that the plastic/paint coating had COMPLETELY bubbled up and pulled off of the housing. I quickly scraped it off w/ my leatherman, and fortunately there were small battery polarity diagrams underneath it so I still knew how to properly install them. Will contact EOTech and let them know. I will follow up with this post as I get more information. JoelK

Yes_its_Dave 6/30/2009 1:53:28 AM Like others have said, go with the PSL if you just want a rifle to take to the range and shoot with. If you want a far superior, more elegant, more adaptable rifle, spring for the M1A. Keep in mind that the PSL is far cheaper, both to buy and to [...]

Corp GLNIC LA CA is “GLNIC Corporation of America”, a company based in California, but owned by the People’s Liberation Army of China. GLNIC may stand for “Guangdon Lingnan Ind. Corp.” or “Guangdon Lingnan Import Company”. The letters “CGA” may be stamped on the trunnion ahead of the serial number on early-import GLNIC AK47S rifles, and it appears that CGA was the exporter for pre-1989 GLNIC-imported AK47S and SKS Rifle Stocks rifles (later rifles were exported by Norinco).

It’s a Norinco. You’d have to compare prices in your area, but $295 sounds fairly reasonable.

Shop came down to $250 which really left me no other option than to buy. I got this thing home and it is pristine, all matching, and appears never to have been fired. Don’t need this and will likely forward it to my cousin who is a collector, but nicest one I’ve seen in a long time. The CGA thing just threw me off.

Interestingly, I read that Norinco is not a gun manufacturer but is a marketing company created to sell guns in the

Na you can use a BUIS with the RCO mount. I run it with my NSN/DOC and a Troy with no problems. Either Scope Mount will be good. I went with the RCO for cosmetic reasons, not to mention its a little cheaper.

My BUIS is mounted (since the photo was taken) at the back end of the railed handguard. To be replaced with a T-1 hopefully in the near future. The arrangement is sufficient.
